Jabber

I guess I’ve never mentioned this here, but I’m the webmaster for the Psi Jabber client. Jabber is an open-source instant messaging protocol, fully standardized by the IETF. The stated goal of Jabber is nothing less than to take over the world. I’m also a member of the Jabber Software Foundation. As such I get to have some level of input into how the world of Jabber evolves.

I’ve tried nearly all the Windows and multiplatform Jabber clients out there and I settled on Psi some time ago. I started as just a user but over time came to contribute more time to helping things along. Now I work with the developers to coordinate stuff and administer the forums, bug tracking database, website, etc.

Some Psi news today in fact. We released psi-0.9.2-test1 today, which means 0.9.2 isn’t far away. Check out the forums for more details.
