Music

I accidentally deleted some of my Jack Johnson tracks from iTunes while trying to make room for some new video podcasts to fit on my iPod. No huge deal, I do have the stuff on my home PC, but a momentary pain nonetheless. Live Music Archive project at Archive.org to the rescue! I sampled a few live shows from the Jack Johnson detail page and found two good ones to snag. Man, I love the Internet. The LMA hosts various and sundry bands, most, but not all of the “jam band” variety. Most shows are available in several audio formats ranging from 64bps MP3 (yuck) to a more palatable VBR (variable bit-length) format, as well as lossless versions true to the original recording. The recordings are of all qualities themselves, but you’ll find a lot of neat stuff. Some of them are actually live studio recordings, like this one:

Hope you enjoy it!
