I have to take a minute to give credit where credit is due. On May 6th a Psi user posted details about a bug he was experiencing only between Jive’s Jive Messenger and Psi as the client. The same day some Psi devs chimed in what the issue might be caused by. It was determined that probably both Psi and Jive were not handling something correctly. I decided to drop a line to Jive since they ought to be an interested party. But as I’m sure many of you know, sometimes those web feedback forms are routed to /dev/null.

Well, next day I got this email:

Thanks for the message. We have lots of Psi users from Jive Messenger so
would love to make sure the two apps work well together. I’ve filed this
issue as JM-288:

http://www.jivesoftware.org/issues/browse/JM-288

We plan to release 2.1.4 sometime next week so a fix for this issue
should be available soon.

How awesome is that? And what’s more, I check the task today (just one day after the task was created) and the task owner has already started working on a fix.

Great job guys!
